Synopsis

In this much-awaited third installment of “Burning Flame”, a team of firefighters continue to strive for the safety and well-being of local citizens under extreme conditions. Through rescuing the victims, the beauty of human nature and the importance of life are realized.
Encouraged by the fireman leader CHUNG YAU SHING (Wong He), young and playful FONG LEI ON (Bosco Wong) joins the team and gets to know CHEUK PAK YUE (Kevin Cheng). Unfortunately, the two of them are having lots of misunderstanding at work. ON believes that YUE has stolen SHING’s lover KO WAI YING (Myolie Wu) and causes the serious injury of SHING. However, a gruesome fire accident has drawn everyone into a twist of fate that has led them to find a deeper sense of awareness.

A scene which came to a bit of a surprise to me..

I always felt there was a love triangle type of thing happening between Patrick, Toby and Natalie. Toby and Patrick has always got along while some sort of misunderstandings happened between Patrick and Natalie and they didn’t start out on good terms. They eventually become friends and he cares about both of them a lot. Whether he felt something more than friendship wasn’t so obvious though, until the following scene slipped out:

Just as Patrick was coming out from Natalie’s home, he sees his friend holding Natalie’s hands; where his friend was asking her out.

Awww….It was a rather cute scene seeing Patrick like that.
I kinda feel sorry for him, but it makes me wonder why he didn’t do anything to ’show’ her?

I hope Patrick ends up with Natalie instead of Toby though. Just a personal preference I guess. Would be nice to show a bit more of the relationship aspect of this series since there’s not that many screen-time so far.
Come on Patrick, do something! XD

Hi everyone Hope everyone has been well!

I haven’t had much time to blog these days as life continues to be busy. For the past few weeks I have managed to squeeze in a bit of time for TVB though- ‘The Threshold of a Persona‘; but as I’m starting my postgraduate qualification now; along with full time work, that bit of time might have to be re-prioritized as well. I really appreciate all of you who constantly come back to check out my blog and updates Be sure to subscribe to my updates! TVB themesong downloads will continue to be updated! And always looking forward to hear what you guys think of the TVB series etc as well

I’m currently up to episode 20 to The Threshold of Persona- 7 more episodes to go! While the series is enjoyable and I like the cast, I feel that it could have more ‘action’ or things happening. The series has a lot of potentials and the whole immigration theme mixes well with all the characters and relationships. I really like the theme song sung by Roger Kwok and Patrick too. Speaking of  Patrick and Roger, I really like their characters in the series XD Patrick is particularly cute in this series and I like him so much more here than in King of Snookers (”Ji Him” was hopeless…)

I’m not really anticipating any TVB series this year which is a bit strange. Last year there was Moonlight Resonance, and The Gem of Life..the year before there was Heart of Greed..but this year, where’s the grand production? lol Where’s my Raymond Lam gone? It feels a bit weird how I’m rambling on about the quality of TVB series when I’ve quite enjoyed Sweetness in the Salt, E.U and Rosy Business which was released earlier in the year ^_^ I guess as I’m starting to have less time for TVB; I want to use my time more wisely by watching some better productions xD

On another note, Raymond Lam is releasing another version of  Let’s Get Wet . Unfortunately it won’t include his concert which I had hoped ^^; The only difference with this album and the first version is that it’s a little cheaper but doesn’t include the 64 page photobook =X Personally I’d pay a few dollars more for the extra photo book ^^;

I wonder how Raymond’s concert went I heard that he danced with Michael Tse for a performance as well! TVB has also set up a website especially for his concert (it has lots of video clips, wallpapers and all), so check it out if you’re interested

Just in time for his upcoming concert,  Raymond Lam will be releasing his third album with the same theme and name as his concert:  Let’s Get Wet is coming with CD + DVD!! YAY!!

I remember last year, they said Raymond was expecting to release his 3rd album in March, so as time went and there was no news about it, let left me pondering..but its finally here!
I do admit feeling kinda left out that I can’t attend his concert, but getting his album feels like I’m making up for it somehow (And my current layout XD)

It’s expected to be released on 15 June, 2009!

Since making the leap from TVB actor to singer, Raymond Lam has quickly turned into one of Hong Kong’s best-selling pop acts. YAN cures his patients by not only medication but also by psychological analysis. He diagnoses the cause with reference to the symptoms. The plot is interesting, intricate and extraordinary. The Psychiatrist LIN CHI SUM (Cheung Chi Kwong) and the nurse LI YING CHUN (Raymond Wong Ho Yin) are both good friends of YAN. SUM is keen on helping people. He has cured a patient suffering from binge eating disorder SUEN KA PIK (Vivien Yeo). They have overcome a lot of difficulties and become a couple. YAN is a divorced single father with a daughter. After the failed marriage, he did not long for love affairs until he chanced upon an Inspector of Serious Crime Unit MOK MAN YEE (Kate Tsui). They have gradually developed their relationship through business contact. However, in order to avoid recurrence of genetic mental disease, YEE detaches her feeling from YAN.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear that TVB is planning to release Sweetness in the Salt in Hong Kong on 8 June 2009  (as it was initially warehoused). It is believed that TVB decided to air the series due to its popularity from overseas rentals and the recent Success of Rosy Business, also produced by Producer Li Tim Shing! This is surely going to give a lot of pressure to the Sweetness cast ^^

I recall the series being quite enjoyable overall and I especially loved the love triangle in the earlier half of the series^^ - (but the story did kind of go downhill in the latter half).

As many of you would agree; there were many great confrontation scenes in Rosy Business I think those were the highlights, especially when the bad guys’ evil doings are revealed My personal favourite would still have to be the one in episode 9-10 when Wayne stood up to defend Sheren!

For the last episode of Rosy Business,  Scoop had a special edition where they interviewed the cast etc and these were the casts’ personal favourite scenes:

Sheren’s favourite Scene:

When Bo Kei reads out her husband’s will. I loved this!! I loved the things written on the will as well ‘There’s no need to get anyone’s approval; and no evidence is required. If Po Kei says he did wrong, then he did!’ XD I found the initial will very surprising though! Their father was intially going togive 80% of the will to his first son- and only 10% to his other sons. I know that it was in condition he really did change and all, but is that really fair to his other son? Is it that normal in those days to give everything to the eldest son? It’s comforting to know that if only the eldest son didn’t go cause all those trouble and grew up as a ‘decent’ person/or changed- he would have inherited everything without having to ‘fight’ for it.

I knew this scene was coming when I watched it though, since we were shown that Ngo Wah went to give the will to the General before he died. It would have been more of a surprise if TVB didn’t show us this, but it still works I guess!

Susan’s favourite scene:

Susan’s confrontation towards Sheren- declaring that they are sworn enemies

A scene like this is essential I think hehe. Susan somehow reminds me of a witch..she would look good as one (but that’s a different story) At least Sheren can finally see Susan’s true face. In a way this scene is kinda ‘funny’ because Sheren’s standing there thinking Susan’s just got everything wrong. Sheren never had intentions of treating her as an enemy…

Wayne’s Favourite Scene

Wayne confronts Sheren how upset and disappointed he was when he found out he was not promoted to be “3rd Jiang Gui”. Not only because he had his hopes up; but also because he believed he truly deserved it and that Sheren was a fair person- and understood his merits. I really felt sorry for Wayne in this scene because I felt he deserved it too! After all that; he feels hopeless at the same time, confused and angry in trusting /believing her. There’s a mix of emotions where I dont’ know who else could pull off “Chai Gao” if Wayne wasn’t given the role. Great job Wayne!!

Ngo Wah’ s Favourite Scene

His own death scene!  I was getting so pissed off at how those idiots were stopping the others from hearing his last words. He would have left unhappily if he wasn’t even able to see Sheren and Ron- and seeing all the false accusations about his last words being carried out. At least they did make it in time in the end : )

Ron’ s Favourite Scene

Ron beats up his brother when he finds out he attempted to kill Wayne again!

This scene really reminded me of the canning scene in Moonlight Resonance hehe. I love watching the bad guys getting beaten up; and how when Susan was threatening to report them to the police- Sheren led and took out the courage from everyone who was there in the scene to deny seeing anything XD Feels good to use the same lie back to them ^^

Pierres’ s Favourite Scene

When Pierre argues that he was wrongly accused for having an affair with Nancy; making up lies to accuse Sheren for the way she handled the situation.

I’m surprised how he can come up with such accusations in that short time lol They do seem valid at some point though; but I’m glad Ngo Wah never believed his words and trusted Sheren Ngo Wah officially de-recognises him as his son.

Kara’ s Favourite Scene

Kara takes out the courage to confront Susan. Yay!! Go Kara!XD This scene was quite exciting; especially she how she tossed Susan’s bowl onto the floor andpokes Susan back XD She appeared really tough and all Too bad she seems to have reverted back again later on lol
